Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will be speaking at the first ever Israel Appreciation Day event on September 18th. Israel Appreciation Day chairman Robert Chernin emphasized Senator Rubio's strong record of supporting U.S. military aid to Israel and as a vocal proponent of Israel's right to defend itself against threats, particularly from Iran and militant groups like Hezbollah and Hamas. 

After an official visit to Israel earlier this year, Rubio claimed in National Review that "Israel’s enemies are also our enemies. The Iranian regime and its proxies…seek Israel’s destruction as part of a multi-stage plan to dominate the Middle East and destabilize the West. The Jewish state is on the front lines of this conflict, fighting with many shared American-Israeli lives."
